After opening up the Light in the Box website, one of the first things I noticed was the tab labelled ‘Weddings and Events.’ I’m a bit of a sceptic when it comes to online shopping because sometimes sites can be tricky to navigate, and important information isn’t always that clear. Here is a bit of background:
LightInTheBox.com is a China-based global online retailer that has been a worldwide business leader in selling blue-ribbon consumer goods since 2006. From the moment we founded LightInTheBox, our vision was to empower people worldwide in buying and selling online.
Whoever you are, and wherever you are, LightInTheBox offers the same price to all: the lowest possible. Whether you’re a retailer who refuses to pay the high prices in your country, or a shopper looking to get hold of the latest products, LightInTheBox.com provides light-speed service and fantastic prices. We buy direct from an ever expanding network of Chinese manufacturers so we can keep costs low while maintaining the highest of standards.
We serve customers from virtually every country in the world, and our goal is to be able to serve everyone worldwide. But our vision won’t change: One world, one price.

Specifically for events, Light in the Box sells almost everything you could possibly need for a wedding – dresses, decor, shoes, favours, centrepieces, and accessories. Each category breaks down into subcategories and by price range, making this one of the easiest sites to browse through. Everything is priced in US dollars (a steal for us Canadians right now), and there are always great deals to be found.
Even any question you could have is answered on site with their comprehensive Frequently Asked Questions Page. There are pages with information on the return and cancellation policies, shipping costs, estimated delivery times, and dozens of testimonials from satisfied customers. They’ve even got all of their social media bases covered with Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, their blog, and an e-newsletter.
After an hour of browsing through Light in the Box, I’m convinced that it is going to be quite handy for future events and my new favourite online shopping site. What are some of your favourite online sites?
