Fundraising can be very labour intensive and potentially not meet the goal at the end of the day. Here are some great ideas that get the job done and are fun at the same time!
1. AUCTIONS – Collect sports memorabilia, spa packages, gift baskets and other items to hold a live and or silent auction.
2. COINS FOR A CAUSE – Place coin collection containers in your school, church or local business for a designated period of time. Award the individual or organization that collects the most money.
3. DANCE MARATHON – Ask your school to hold a dance and encourage students to collect pledges.
4. GALA DINNER – Host a dinner in your home or at a local venue and sell a variety of tickets (ie. 1 for $125, Table for 10 for $1200). You can serve anything from canapés to a 5-course dinner. Consider holding an auction or raffle as well.
5. RAFFLES – Hold a 50/50 drawing in which half of the money goes to the winner and the other half to the organization. This is the perfect accompaniment to any event.
