Event Trends: Interactive Tips

The most important factor for event success is the audience. You want the audience to feel comfortable and have fun, but that is not enough anymore. People going to events want to be more involved. Event planners can’t just focus on how to “WOW” the audience but need to think of creative ways to ENGAGE their guests.

Here are some inspiring ideas to get YOUR guests engaged:

Building a community on the cloud

Use social media like Facebook or Twitter to build a community long before the event. Social media is not only used to pass information along, it can be a hub to communicate with your target market, gather first-hand feedback, and to increase excitement by creating a buzz.

Don’t just give them a show to watch

Entertainment can be more interactive by letting the audience participate. Hire a salsa dance group to teach a few basic move to the guest and dance with them. Another great idea is using a touch screen DJ mixer that helps the DJ interact more with the crowd.

Play with your food

Interactive stations!!! Allow both chefs and guests to show off their culinary talents. It is also an increasingly popular trend for team building - eat what you cook, eat what another team cooks, or heat up the fire with a little competition.

How do you engage your guests?
