As oil prices go up without an end in sight, the increasing expense has a lot of people concerned. Event planners rely on their vehicles a lot to enable them be flexible and efficient. 3. Buy gasoline during the coolest times of the day. Usually, gas is a little cheaper during the early morning or late evening. Different areas will also have minor price differences as well.

Flowers that make a Statement!


In every event there is a certain decor item hat blows everybody away. The most common element is flowers. Flowers are easy and effective way to get tie in: theme, personality and style. Below are some of our favourite flowers that make a statement!

1. Black Orchids – They are NOT really black. The black orchid may, technically, be more of a dark-purple-brown than black. Because of this, some argue that there is no such thing as a black orchid. According to Orchid Mania, the black orchid doesn't exist; however, some orchids are so dark in color that they can pass for black. This elegant & bold flower is sure to have guests ‘ohhing’ & ‘awwing’ over them!

2. Calla Lilies
- Calla lilies, also known as arum lilies are available all year round but experience wide fluctuations in price. Callas are seldom inexpensive as they are somewhat vulnerable to bruising during bulk shipping.

3. Hydrangeas - Hydrangeas are available all year. However, there are wide variations of price and quality for this flower. Hydrangeas are in season during the summer. While many varieties are available all year, many hydrangeas bought off-season are undersized and lower in quality for a much higher price tag.

4. Lilacs - This fragrant flower requires a good water source and is sensitive to heat. Lilacs are very likely to show wilting in a bridal bouquet within an hour or so due to the bride’s body heat even when arranged a water source.

5. Lily of the Valley - Lily of the valley often does not have very long stems making it impractical for some types of arrangement. It is extremely fragrant so a little goes a long way towards creating a wonderful, scented setting.
